Phundinchhang Ekata Samaj

Phundinchhang Ekata Samaj is a society for unity of the Kongliva-ijam, Lingjyang-ijam, Chongsu and Mayuthak-ijam Limbu clans. The Society renders its nomenclature from their root ancestor Phundinchhang from which they are found to have separated under above sub-clans and hence they are closely related with blood relationships.

The primeval and historical evidence prove that they are the original settlers of Tiringe and some parts of Phawakhola and Thechambhu VDC of Taplejung district of Limbuwan. They are also found being settled in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari and Bagmati district of Nepal and many provinces of India and Manmar, Bhutan, etc.
